A Night at the Museum Social is planned Monday, October 2 at 7:00PM - 10:00PM at the Canadian Museum of Nature, 240 McLeod St, Ottawa. Light bites and drinks will be served, featuring beer tastings with local brewers. It is a 25 minute walk from the Delta Hotel to the Museum and many restaurants can be found along the route. The Byward Market (known simply as "the market" by locals) has a bustling nightlife with many pubs and restaurants. It is a 25min walk, Eastward along Wellington Street, past the Parliament Buildings, over the Rideau Canal. Favourites include the spartan and historic Chateau Lafayette (the "Laff") at 42 York Street, the Brig Pub at 23 York Street, the Earl of Sussex at 431 Sussex Drive, and Highlander Pub at 115 Rideau Street if you're a fan of Single Malt Scotch.
